About Currency Conversion Rates
This converter computes exchange values using mid-market reference rates synchronized daily from the European Central Bank (ECB).
How Cross-Rates Are Derived
When converting between two currencies that are not directly paired in the primary quote feed (for example, converting Indian Rupees to UAE Dirhams), the conversion is calculated via the common US Dollar bridge currency:
Exchange Rate (A → B) = Rate(USD → B) / Rate(USD → A)
Reference fixings represent wholesale statistical benchmarks. Commercial banks and money transfer services typically charge a margin above or below these figures.
